G-Unit Books, the publishing arm associated with rapper and entrepreneur Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, has filed a lawsuit against his former partner Shaniqua Tompkins, accusing her of breaching a legal agreement by publicly sharing stories about their past.

According to court documents, the company claims Tompkins, who is the mother of 50 Cent’s 28-year-old son, Marquise Jackson, “irrevocably and exclusively” granted the rights to her life story to G-Unit Books in 2007. As part of the alleged agreement, Tompkins committed not to publicly disclose or profit from her personal experiences, including those involving 50 Cent.

The lawsuit references a 2023 YouTube video titled “Other Side of the Coin”, which Tompkins published with a description claiming to reveal “the untold truth of how she helped to build the G-Unit legacy and how Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson wouldn’t be who he is today without her.”

G-Unit also cites a recent Instagram post from Tompkins where she responded to online speculation related to the Diddy trial, using the moment to discuss her own past with 50 Cent. The company alleges that the post drew attention and served as a springboard for her to share more personal accounts — an action they argue violates the terms of their agreement.

The lawsuit, filed for breach of contract, seeks to bar Tompkins from publishing further personal stories or videos related to 50 Cent. G-Unit Books is also demanding at least $1 million in damages.
