Man Who Cut Off His Manhood Over Dispute With Wife Gets It Back After Surgery

In a shocking and tragic incident that unfolded in Hausari Ward, Bama, Borno State, a 50-year-old man named Modu Isa attempted to end his life by severing his penis with a kitchen knife. The distressing act was reportedly fueled by a dispute with his estranged wife, Bayanxe Modu, who had refused to reconcile with him. The man, overwhelmed by despair, reportedly declared that if his wife could not have him, then his manhood had no purpose and must be removed.

Following the self-inflicted injuries, which included stabbing himself three times in the stomach before cutting off his penis, Modu Isa was rushed to the General Hospital in Bama. Medical personnel acted swiftly, performing an emergency surgery to reattach the severed organ. Hospital sources have confirmed that the procedure was successful, with the reattached penis showing signs of life and responding well to treatment.

The case has since attracted the attention of security officials and has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Maiduguri for further investigation.
