Popular influencer Tanner Martin shares emotional farewell message before death at 30

Tanner Martin, a beloved influencer known for documenting his battle with cancer with humour and honesty, has died at the age of 30.
In a touching and unexpected gesture, the news of his passing was shared in a pre-recorded video posted to Instagram by his wife, Shay Wright, just 41 days after the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named AmyLou.
Tanner, who had been battling colorectal cancer for five years, faced his final moments with the same warmth and wit that endeared him to many online.
“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead,” he began, lightening the heavy moment with a small laugh.
In the video, Tanner reflected on his life with gratitude, saying:
“Life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here.”
Despite his visibly weakened state, his spirit remained strong as he acknowledged his loved ones and expressed hope for peace in the afterlife.
He also joked that he was looking forward to seeing late family members and “making fun of all you nerds” from the other side.
Tanner admitted death was scary, but described it as a “new adventure,” and expressed excitement about what comes next.
He ended his message with heartfelt thanks to his followers:
“Thank you for your support and helping to make the last years of my life here on earth fun, enjoyable, and helping me be comfortable.”
